The Carpenter’s Arms..

The Carpenter’s Arms is a Christian run 12 room residential rehabilitation centre for men challenged by drug and alcohol addiction, which often results in a breakdown in relationships, homelessness, financial hardship, illness and offending. The Carpenter’s Arms is situated in Loughborough and is the only one of its kind in the town.

The project was officially opened in August 2009 by the Mayor of Charnwood.

A Christian Rehabilitation centre for men.

The Carpenter’s Arms was previously called the Corporation Hotel.

It is a large period building situated not far from Loughborough town centre, near the Great Central Railway. In 2003 it was bought by a Christian charity (Homes for the Homeless) and became a homeless hostel.

In 2008 it was changed into a rehabilitation centre. There are 12 single rooms upstairs, each furnished with a wash basin, bed and wardrobe. Downstairs there is a communal area comprising a lounge (with TV and pool table), a dining room and a quiet lounge. Laundry facilities are in the cellar. There is a lovely sunny garden with benches and tables, where barbeques are often held during the summer months!
