A wonderful adventure on board the Morning Star!
We sent four of our men away on Morning Star for six days and they came back transformed. The challenges and training they faced moved them up a real notch in life-experience.
We are very grateful to Morning Star for giving these guys this wonderful opportunity.
Here are some extracts from their diaries…
Day 5 Last day I cant believe it. Been having such a great time! Lots more sailing down the river and around and through obstacles. This has been a truly amazing week. Everything that seemed so hard at the start is now so easy. I didn’t think I could learn so much so fast. I cant wait to go again going to start looking for dates when I can come back!
What was learnt about sailing was fantastic and the experience is one that I’m sure we’ll carry for a long time
A massive thank you to your and your trust who gave us all such a great experience and were a fantastic witness to Christianity and all that it encompasses
I was very impressed with the quality and attitude of your crew. Every member was eager to help us learn and make up where we fell short due to inexperience. Many kind and unexpected gestures were seen through out the week such as the captain Richard cooking for us and providing tea and coffee for everyone through out the day. Also Alex allowing me to watch and assist in some of the maintenance tasks of a Boson as I expressed an interest in this area.
